Fulphil and Youth@Berwyn work together to create an unconventional and innovative virtual pitch competition.

March 24, 2021 | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Fulphil and Youth@Berwyn are excited to announce the launch of Stitch Pitch, a virtual TikTok pitch challenge with the aim of spreading the entrepreneurial spirit to youth! Open to students across the world, this challenge was created to help students build upon or acquire new entrepreneurial skills by sharing their most innovative ideas with the world. With Fulphil and Youth@Berwyn’s mutual missions to empower young people, this challenge acts as a platform upon which students can put their ideas into action.

What is Stitch Pitch?

Students are tasked with creating an unconventional elevator pitch, TikTok style. TikTok, the new medium for many small businesses, provides a platform through which students can express their creativity, access a target audience, and deliver a concise message. With TikTok’s growing popularity amongst GenZ, we want to meet youth where they are. By combining entrepreneurial instinct, problem solving, and creativity, they are to create a 30–60 second video explaining the problem they are tackling, their unique solution, and the impact of their idea. Entrepreneurs will judge students’ elevator pitches and award $750 to the winner, $500 for 2nd place, and $250 for 3rd place.

Applications close on April 6th!

Stick Pitch’s Impact

Elevator pitches are the foundation of entrepreneurship. Stitch pitch gives students an outlet to express their ideas and propose creative solutions. By creating an elevator pitch, students will learn the power of persuasion, effective communication, and creativity.

“This competition is exactly what students need to feel heard, have an opportunity to express themselves, and propose creative solutions to common problems. It takes a unique approach to the classic elevator pitch, modernizing it to fit the interest of the world’s next generation of entrepreneurs. I am immensely excited to bring this to life,” says Unnati Gupta, founder of Youth@Berwyn.

“With the pandemic not allowing us to host in-person pitch competitions, we’re excited to for Stitch Pitch to engage and excite students interested in entrepreneurship and social impact. I am so excited to see what the students come up with!” comments Tiffany Yau, Founder and CEO of Fulphil.
